Glora Jeans Coffees wins an award

Gloria Jean’s Coffees, based in Castle Hill, will become the first Australian company to receive the Rainforest Alliance Corporate Green Globe Award, which will be presented to executive chairman, Nabi Saleh, in New York, on May 15. The award recognises the company’s work in supporting global sustainability in agriculture. The company is committed to a target of purchasing 85% of our coffee within the next three years from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. Gloria Jeans Coffees purchased the US-based Gloria Jeans Coffees International operations in 2005. The company has 854 stores around the world. In 2006-07 the company's export sales grew by 638% compared to the previous year
