Liverpool. Program to reduce emissions

The NSW Government is encouraging businesses in Chipping Norton and Moorebank to reduce their greenhouse gasses and save money on their power bills. Under the program by Integral Energy, businesses are offered free energy audits which usually cost between $3000 and $5000, with more than 200 businesses already signed up.

Region. Century 21 merges

One of Australia’s biggest residential real estate agencies, Century 21 Australia, which has 17 branches across Western Sydney, will merge with listed property management company, Wentworth Holdings, in a deal that values the combined group at more than $65 million. Charles Tarbey, Century’s sole owner who bought the Australian rights to the company in 1993, will take over as MD of the merged business, according to The Australian Financial Review.

Liverpool. Stage 2 of $390m hospital works

Project application for Stage 2 building works, is on public exhibition, in accordance with the approved concept plan for the redevelopment of Liverpool Hospital. The works include the refurbishment and expansion of the existing clinical services building, a new helipad, and ancillary works including basement car parking, loading docks, stormwater works and landscaping. The total project, worth $390 million, should be completed in 2011.
